A golfer who wants to play an Open Championship Final Qualifying venue while lodging in the Southwest of Scotland. Although a links, it feels like an inland course. Consider this course after Turnberry , Royal Troon, Prestwick, Western Gailes, and Dondonald if extending your stay in this area.

Overview:

Kilmarnock Barassie Golf Club is located on the outskirts of Troon on Scotland’s West Coast. It has an extensive history and has been offering golfers a magnificent links golf challenge in Ayrshire for one hundred and twenty-five years. The Club is always delighted to welcome visitors from all over Europe, the United States as well as all corners of the UK and Ireland.

Within striking distance of Royal Troon, Prestwick and Turnberry, the course is an Open Championship Final Qualifying venue with a well-deserved reputation for some of the best maintained greens in Scotland. The Club has twenty seven holes with which to test the golfer, complemented by first-rate facilities in the clubhouse and professional’s shop.
