Royal Melbourne West is widely regarded as the best course in Australia. Designed by Dr. Alister MacKenzie, this host site of numerous Australian Opens is known for its naturally rugged appearance and fast greens. Opened in 1926, this is the finest golf course in the Southern Hemisphere. With 12 holes part of the Composite Course, it hosted the 2019 Presidents Cup. Known for fast greens and superb bunkering, RMGC West is Ranked #11 in the world by GOLF Magazine.
Royal Melbourne East: Built to McKenzie’s plans in 1931, the only slightly lower ranked East course boasts very similar bunkering and green contours as the West course. Six of the Composite Course holes were on the East for the 2019 Presidents Cup. RMGC East ranked in the World Top 100 by both GOLF Magazine and Golf Digest.
