A golfer who enjoys rugged, traditional links golf, is playing Royal County Down and is seeking a great links course.
One of the most scenic, breathtaking courses in Ireland with the mountains of Mourne as a backdrop. On a clear day, you can see across to the Isle of Man. This golf course offers a true test for all levels of golfers with its championship standard greens and many cliffs and canyons for good measure. The first five holes meander along cliff tops with the Irish Sea to the left. The second hole is a daunting par 3. Your tee shot must carry a cliff and canyon, and that’s the easy part of the hole. Ardglass is also renowned for its warm hospitality on and off the course. The Clubhouse was formerly known as Ardglass Castle, and this magnificent building is steeped in history and tradition dating back to the 14th century.

“Couldn’t have asked for a better golf experience overall, and have to add that Phil’s hole-in-one in the wind at Ardglass #2 really put the icing on the cake (at least for him)! Our sincere thanks for your attention to detail in the planning and arrangements for a truly outstanding NI golf experience!”
