Located on King Island, halfway between Tasmania and the main island state of Victoria, Cape Wickham requires some additional travel step to get to, but it’s well worth the journey. The relatively new course, built in 2015, is currently ranked in the world top-100 by both Golf Digest (#21) and Golf Magazine (#60). Not only is it visually stunning, the almost always present wind make it quite the challenge. The ocean holes at Cape Wickham might be the star, but the inland holes are just as great.
“The weather was challenging most days, but I only had to wear my rain suit on Monday on the Jubilee course. The weather for the Old Course, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns actually had some sun with Kingsbarns on the last day the best of all.”
